Coca-Cola's Marketing Manager Lawrence Tikaram.

Coca-Cola's Marketing Manager Lawrence Tikaram says they fully support the announcement and the decision that was made by the Prime Minister about the postponement of the Coca Cola Games.

Tikaram says they have made alternative plans to have the games in August.

He says they have a major role to play in supporting students who take part in the event.

Tikaram adds they believe in the importance of life outweighs any national event.

The secondary school's athletics competition was scheduled to be held from this Thursday to Saturday.

2,500 athletes were expected to gather at the ANZ Stadium for the games.
