The Coalition Government has assured to work on issues in the Cardiac Unit at the CWM Hospital following a visit by Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad.

Professor Prasad along with the Minister for Health Dr Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu and Australian High Commissioner to Fiji Ewen McDonald visited the facility and was briefed by Dr Vijay Kapadia, a cardiologist from Gold Coast University Hospital, on the challenges faced by the Unit.

Dr Kapadia provided valuable insights and suggestions on how to enhance the quality of services offered at the facility. Professor Prasad says that the government would address the issues raised and adds that funding is available, and these challenges must be resolved.

He says it is about planning better, and with the support of the Australian Government, the Coalition Government will work to ensure these issues are dealt with.

Professor Prasad says the visit underscores the government's commitment to improving healthcare services in Fiji and highlights the ongoing partnership with Australia to strengthen the health sector.
