Interim Prime Minister and Army Commander, Commodore Bainimarama maintains that some chiefs have tried to split up the military in the past, and people should understand that they are still around trying to grab power.
In an exclusive interview with Village News, Bainimarama said that he knows that some of the power hungry chiefs still have ulterior motives.
However the Commander said a lot of lessons were learnt in 2000 during the coup and mutiny.
Commodore Bainimarama also said that the RFMF and he as the Army Commander will no longer be complacent about such issues as it would just take Fiji back.
He reveals that he did everything possible to ensure that the CRW officers involved in the 2000 coup realize their wrongdoing but this turned against him on November 2nd, 2000.
