A 30-year-old carrier driver of Rarawai, Ba died following a fatal road accident this morning.
The man was driving towards Ba town with another 48 year old man when their vehicle veered onto the opposite lane and hit the right side of an oncoming vehicle.
This resulted in the vehicle going off the road and tumbling before landing upside down near a cane field.
The incident occurred around 2 this morning.
The victim was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead.
The 48-year-old passenger was also treated as investigations continue.
The road death toll now stands at 32 compared to 34 for the same period last year.
