Cancer affects everyone-MBHS Head Boy

Cancer affects everyone-MBHS Head Boy

“When someone in the family has cancer, it does not only affect that person, but everyone connected to them.”

That is the sentiment of Marist Brothers High School Head Boy Jone Veisamasama whose 7-year-old niece has cancer.

Jone Veisamasama said for them as a family all they can do is support the girl and try their best to make sure she does not feel lonely.

40-45 children are diagnosed with cancer in Fiji every year.

A nationwide appeal will be held in Fiji this Saturday.

The WOWS Walk will take place from the Vodafone Arena to Suva Grammar and back to the arena at 7am Saturday.

If you want to make donations, the Westpac Suva CFL appeal account number is 9800 935 794.

You can also drop by at the home of Fijivillage here at 231 Waimanu Road between now and this Saturday to make your donations.

The CFL family from Legend FM, FM96, Viti FM, Navtarang and Radio Sargam will be based at locations nationwide this Saturday collecting funds for children living with cancer.
