Starting from humbling beginnings with a crowd of about eight hundred to now where tens of thousands dance the night away, the CFL Annual Fiji Street Party with Digicel has now become the event of the year.
Organisers of the CFL Annual Fiji Street Party, Total Event Company manager Loretta Jackson said it all began in 1999 into 2000 where it was done to mark the new Millenium.
She added that this year marks a milestone for the annual event.
According to Jackson, the safe environment has seen the event becoming a family oriented event and a must for many.
Meanwhile, Assistant Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said police will maintain high visibility during the street party and they will be on the lookout for any person trying to sneak in alcohol or drugs or cause any disruption to the celebrations.
The annual CFL street party with Digicel will be held at Albert Park tomorrow night at 7pm.
