The President of Suva Retailers Association, Jitesh Patel, says their major plan for 2023 is to install CCTV cameras around the City in the next 2 to 3 months.

Patel says difficulties such as identifying locations to place cameras and funding had previously postponed the completion of this project.

He says the National Command Centre will monitor the cameras placed around the City.

Patel adds they will work with the City Council to improve and repair the condition of the footpaths to attract more tourists.

He further says during the festive season, the sales were good and Back to School shopping is likely to commence in the coming week.
