Brieanna Rabakewa of Swami Vivekananda College

Brieanna Rabakewa of Swami Vivekananda College from Nadi has won gold in the intermediate girls discus today.

Rabakewa also broke the record with a throw of 42.54 metres.

Loata Lewageena from Ratu Sukuna Memorial School settled for silver, while Sinairi Erasito from Saint Joseph’s Secondary took away the bronze medal.

Rabakewa says she did not make the top 8 last year and her aim this year was to prove herself in the same field to win a gold medal.
