The Boston Celtics are set to host the Indiana Pacers today for game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, a game known to be a matchup between the top two offence teams in the league.

This is the 7th time in NBA history that the Celtics and Pacers will meet in which the Celtics won 4 of the 6 series so far and all of them were in the first round.

Their latest meeting was a sweep by Celtics in the 1st round of the 2018-19 playoffs and will also be their 6th appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals in 8 years.

On the other hand, the Pacers have not been in the Eastern Conference Finals since 2014 when they lost in 6 games to the Heat.

Their last appearance in the playoffs was in 2018-19 when they were swept by the the Celtics in the first round.

In this matchup, there is a wide gap in playoff experience between these two teams with the Celtics starters having 528 playoff games under their belts and the Celtics overall having 597 playoff games to their credit.

However, the Pacers overcame their lack of experience to get to this stage, so the Celtics can’t take them for granted.

The Celtics will take on the Pacers at 12pm today.
