The distributor of Aqua Pacific, Frezco Beverages, will be now supplying Aqua Pacific bottled water to a company in Dubai, Bin Beyat Natural Water Trading.
The first shipment is bound to leave for the Middle East mid October.
The company is contracted to supply $FJD2.6 million worth of Aqua Pacific bottled water to the United Arab Emirates in the first 12 months.
Chief executive officer of Investment Fiji Ravuni Uluilakeba said that the recent opening of the Fiji Embassies in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and Seoul, Korea, have created a gateway for the local exporters to access overseas market.
Managing director for Frezco Beverages, Altaaf Jamal said that they have been working on this market since last year and after screening several companies, decided to engage with Bin Beyat Natural Water Trading.
He said the other markets merging for them currently are Russia, China, UK and Japan as well as the US market which is showing positive growth with product now in Indiana, California, Las Vegas and New York.
He said that the new state of the art bottling facility will be fully operational by the middle of 2013 with the initial line capable of producing more than 150,000 bottles per day or 45 million bottles on average per year to accommodate the grow for the brand internationally and in Fiji.
