ANZ Fiji has decided to donate $25,000 to the Fiji Red Cross to support people affected by the devastating floods.
ANZ CEO Fiji Norman Wilson said that they will also provide a banking assistance package to affected customers.
He said the floods have had a very real impact on many customers and hopes this donation and banking assistance package will provide some relief to help the community focus on the recovery.
He said that as part of its assistance package, ANZ offers to suspend repayments on loans, including credit cards for up to three months, provide temporary adjustments to lending limits including credit cards, to assist with unexpected costs, waive fees associated with replacement of damaged business FTPOS/credit card terminals and access term deposits early without incurring any fees.
Wilson said ANZ has also provided Fiji Red Cross with storage and working space in their offices in Lautoka, Labasa and Namaka to help with the enormous challenge they face.
