Coca-Cola Triple N Zone defending girls’ champion Adi Cakobau School will be using the raw talents they have bred to try and create something special at this year’s Coca-Cola Games and defend their Zone title.

ACS spokesperson Ravuama Latilevu says coming into the Zone this year and preparing for the National finals next two weeks, the athletes have put in a lot of effort and great teamwork with the leadership of their coach and former Pacific sprint queen Makelesi Bulikiobo.

Latilevu says in terms of preparation time, they had ample time to prepare coming into the Zone, but will only have 1 week to prepare for the Coke Games to begin.

He says they might not have the same medal prospects that they used to be known for a few years back, but the coaches are working with the raw talents that they have.

He adds they have set their goal for the Zone competition, which is to defend their title and also improve their finishing in the National finals this year.

Latilevu says they finished 3rd in the Coke Games last year, but they are confident of reigning supreme this year.

Meanwhile, ACS and Lelean Memorial School are currently leading the girls and boys divisions, respectively.

ACS has 4 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze medals. Naitasiri Secondary School is in second place with 1 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze, while Lomaivuna High School sits in third place with 1 gold and 1 silver.

In the boys division, Lelean Memorial is leading with 3 gold and 2 silver medals. Nakasi High is in second place with 2 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze, while Wainimala Secondary is in third with 1 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze.
