Eight new cases have been confirmed in the country and Fiji now has 27 people confirmed with Pandemic H1N1 2009.
Ministry of Health spokesperson Iliesa Tora said seven of the new cases were from the Suva area while one is from Nadi.
Out of the eight cases a 9 year old student who is from Suva is one of the five males detected while there were three new female cases.
Tora added the lab at Mataika House has gone through 233 samples.
Those confirmed have been isolated, treated and monitored.
