The four new Interim Ministers were sworn into office this afternoon by President Ratu Josefa Iloilo at Government House.
The new Interim Ministers are Timoci Lesi Natuva, Tom Ricketts, Dr Jiko Luveni and Filipe Bole.
After the swearing in ceremony Village News held interviews with the four new members of the Interim Administration.
Interim Minister for Works and Transports, Timoci Lesi Natuva said that he has no experience however him having a Masters in Strategic Studies from Deacon University along with management skills, would be alot of help in his new job.
Natuva said that three days before Interim Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama left for Iraq, he was approached for the position in the interim administration.
Natuva hails from Navuso Village in Naitasiri.
Interim Minister for Education, National Heritage, Culture and Arts, Youth and Sports, Filipe Bole said that he intends to change the performance output of the education system, which involves the students, teachers, parents and the civil servants in the education ministry.
Bole has been a political figure, former school teacher and former President of the Fijian Teachers Association as well as serving under various governments like the Alliance Government and the SVT Government.
He will be resigning from his position of Senior Lecturer at the University of Fiji.
Interim Minister for Industry, Tourism, Trade and Communication, Tom Ricketts said tomorrow he will hold meetings with his staff in the Ministries that he will now be responsible for before deciding on his next step.
Interim Minister for Health, Women and Social Welfare, Dr Jiko Luveni said that although her husband is a former SDL minister, Colonel Jiko Luveni, they both discussed her taking up the position and he had given her the green light in contributing to move the country forward.
Luveni said that she has alot of plans for the Social Welfare Ministry and will continue where the previous Interim Minister, Dr Laufitu Malani left off.
