Four Fijian Drua Women’s players were involved in an accident and it is a relief that they do not have any significant injuries.

Police confirm the accident occurred at around 2pm in Sigatoka yesterday.

Fijian Drua General Manager Commercial, Shane Hussein says they have been under the diligent care of medical professionals at Sigatoka and Lautoka Hospitals.

He says their focus at this time is providing the players and their families with any support they require.

When asked by fijivillage News if this could affect their call up into the squad, Hussein says at this point it is not expected to affect their selection chances.

In a repeat of the Super W final, Fijiana Drua take on the NSW Waratahs on the 28th of February at Allianz Stadium in Sydney.
