A prominent street vendor in Lautoka is grateful that big competitions such as the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific are being held in the Sugar City, as a game of this magnitude helps them pay their bills during these struggling times.

Former Primary School teacher and street vendor Mesake Talimaidelana capitalised on the huge turnout in Lautoka for the Fijian Drua vs Crusaders match.

He says his family is always committed and ready to sell food and cakes during any big tournaments in Lautoka.

Talimaidelana says he woke up at 5am to help his two daughters and wife prepare cakes and roti that will be sold at the ground.

He says before the Drua and Crusaders match started, they had already sold all the roti because of the big crowd that came early from Suva. He adds that he had to return home with his daughters and make more roti because he heard that three more buses were still coming from Suva. Talimaidelana says he can not wait for the next round of games to be held in the West.
