As we mark International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month this month, you can catch the first ever indepth interview of parents, Sina and Taholo Kami on fijivillage Straight Talk With Vijay Narayan at 7pm Wednesday.
Sina and Taholo share their family's journey after their eldest daughter, Tae was diagnosed with cancer, the struggles, the heartbreak, taking all the chances coming their way, the ups and downs, the dream of a young Tae to leave behind a legacy that continues to impact Fiji and the Pacific today, the promise made by her parents to her, and the will and drive to do more for the children living with cancer and their families.
Her song, "Walk On Walk Strong," and her dreams for better care for children with cancer led to the establishment of the WOWS movement.
WOWS Kids Fiji is a realization of Tae's dying wish - to create a support system for children facing cancer, offering them the love, care, and hope she wanted for all.
