The net assets for the Methodist Church in Fiji's have increased by more than $3 million to $54.05 million, according to its latest financial report presented at the 2026 Annual Conference.
The financial position of the church as at 31st May 2025, shows total assets increased from $55.51 million in 2024 to $58.63 million in 2025.
During the same period, total liabilities increased slightly from $4.52 million to $4.58 million.
This resulted in the Church's net assets increasing by about $3.06 million, from $50.99 million to $54.05 million.
The report also shows the Church's equity investments increased from about $37.95 million to $42.22 million.
The value of property, plant and equipment increased from $8.42 million to $8.69 million.
The Church's accumulated funds stood at $23.27 million, while its unrealised gains reserve increased to $30.79 million.
However, cash and cash equivalents fell by more than $2 million, from about $7.70 million in 2024 to $5.64 million in 2025.
Overall, the Church recorded $58.63 million in assets and $4.58 million in liabilities, leaving it with net assets of $54.05 million as at 31st May 2025.
The financial report was presented to delegates at the Methodist Church in Fiji's 2026 Annual Conference, or Bose ko Viti.
