Bainimarama endorses One Nation and pledges his support to the new party
Former Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama has formally endorsed the newly registered political party, One Nation, and pledged his support for the party.

Former FijiFirst members Faiyaz Koya, Adi Selai Adimaitoga, Sanjay Salend Kirpal and former FijiFirst Vice President Ravindran Kumaran were part of the registration process for the party.

A One Nation delegation led by its President, the General Secretary, Founding Members and Members of the Central Executive Committee met with Bainimarama to present the Party’s Constitution and seek his patronage and support for the principles and values the former prime minister shares with One Nation.

During the meeting, General Secretary, Ravindran Kumaran highlighted the Party’s vision, objectives and guiding principles as set out in the Constitution of One Nation.

Party President, Roko Tupou Takaiwai Senirewa Draunidalo also formally presented the One Nation constitution to Bainimarama. 

The One Nation President reaffirmed One Nation’s commitment to build a united, inclusive and prosperous Fiji founded on integrity, equality, meritocracy, and good governance.

Bainimarama acknowledged the parallel values and principles contained within the One Nation Constitution with what he stood for as Prime Minister.

Draunidalo says Bainimarama expressed his support and endorsement for the One Nation movement.

She says he appreciated One Nation's commitment to national unity - one nation, common and equal citizenry, equal opportunities for all citizens, good governance, accountability and putting Fiji and Fijians first in everything.

Bainimarama says what has impressed him is One Nation's principles which means that it is committed to transparent governance, responsible leadership, national development and reducing the growing socio-economic disparity between the rich and the poor.

One Nation welcomed Bainimarama’s endorsement and expressed its sincere appreciation for his conviction in One Nation's vision and the direction it wishes to take Fiji into.

Draunidalo says One Nation looks forward to collaborating with Bainimarama to earn the trust and confidence of all Fijians.

She says One Nation will continue to meet communities throughout Fiji and listen to the concerns of ordinary citizens.

Draunidalo says based on its values, principles and objectives it will develop practical solutions to the growing problems faced by ordinary Fijians and improve the quality of their lives.
