The Crest Fiji Pearls have returned home after their campaign at the Netball World Cup Qualifier in Tonga, where they recorded two wins and two losses.
The Pearls fell short of securing qualification for the 2027 Netball World Cup in Australia, but head coach Michelle Parsons says there were positive signs from the young side.
Parsons says several players produced brilliant performances throughout the tournament, with the team continuing to find its rhythm as a developing squad.
She believes the young players will continue to improve with more international exposure and time together as a team.
Parsons had earlier indicated that one of her key goals heading into the Tonga qualifier was to improve Fiji's world ranking and lay the foundation for future World Cup qualification.
With a young squad coming through, Parsons now has time to develop and build a strong and competitive team ahead of the next World Cup qualification campaign.
The tournament in Tonga has also provided valuable international experience for the players as they continue their development and prepare for future competitions.
