FRA to install traffic signal induction loop at 4 signalized intersections along the new section of Kings Road

The Fiji Roads Authority will be installing traffic signal induction loop at the four signalized intersections along the new section of Kings Road from 9‑miles to Rewa Bridge.

The sensor will detect which of the four lanes has more vehicles passing by which will then be used to have more green lights in that particular lane.

The FRA says this system works like a sensor for the efficient performance of the traffic signal which will help improve the traffic flow.

The works will be carried out from 8pm to 5am daily from Monday, 30th September to Friday, 11th October this year.

During this time, there will be single-lane closures while induction loop installation works are being carried out on the road pavement and temporary traffic management will be deployed to guide motorists.
