Drivers travelling through Nasese in Suva are being advised to expect traffic disruptions from this Friday as a section of Ratu Sukuna Road will be partially closed for approximately three months.

The Fiji Roads Authority says the partial closure will affect the section between the Queen Elizabeth Drive junction and Crawford Avenue to allow for road widening and utility relocation under the Ratu Sukuna Road upgrading project.

FRA says the closure will begin on Friday, October 30th, and remain in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including outside normal working hours.

Drivers are advised to use the designated detour routes through Crawford Street, Gardiner Road, Charlton Avenue and Storck Street.

The Authority is urging drivers to follow traffic signs, obey the instructions of traffic controllers and take extra care when travelling near the roadworks.

FRA has apologised for the inconvenience and thanked residents and road users for their patience while the upgrading work is carried out.

For further information, members of the public can contact FRA on its toll-free number 5720 on weekdays from 8am to 5pm or email info@fijiroads.org.
