Natabua High School student ready to represent Fiji at first Commonwealth Games
Seventeen-year-old Adi Ceva Lutumailagi says she is excited to represent Fiji at her first Commonwealth Games as she prepares to compete in the women's 800 metres in Glasgow.

The Year 13 student of Natabua High School says her preparations have been going well, although she is still working on improving a few areas of her performance before the competition.

Lutumailagi, who trains with the Nadi Athletics Club, says one of her biggest challenges has been travelling between Nadi and Suva for training sessions with the rest of the national squad.

She says despite the long journeys, she has remained focused on her goal of representing Fiji on one of the biggest sporting stages.

Lutumailagi says fellow athlete Makelesi Bulikiobo and her father have been her biggest inspirations throughout her athletics journey.

The Fiji athlete will compete in the women's 800 metres at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

The 23rd Commonwealth Games will be held in Glasgow from next Friday to 2nd August.
