Concerns have been raised after a video circulating on social media appeared to show a man preaching at a prominent school in Lautoka, during which a student was singled out in front of classmates because of his faith.

In the video, the man, identified online as Osaslugo, is seen addressing students before calling attention to a child he identifies as Muslim.

Osaslugo is a Christian content creator and preacher with a large following across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.

Osaslugo appears to tell the student that because he does not follow Jesus Christ or Christianity, he will not go to heaven.

The footage has sparked criticism online, with many expressing concern that the child was publicly singled out because of his religion and subjected to comments that could be viewed as discriminatory and inappropriate in a school setting.

Questions have been raised about how the preacher was allowed to address students and whether the school had approved the session.

Questions have been sent to the Ministry of Education regarding the incident and whether any action will be taken.
