From humble beginnings in Raiwaqa to meeting King Charles, serving in the British Royal Navy has been a blessing for Marika Tuinabunawa.

Speaking from England, Tuinabunawa has served in the Royal Navy for more than 12 years.

The former Marist Brothers High School student excelled both academically and in sports, and also represented Fiji in touch rugby at the Pacific Games.

He says he is grateful to God, his family, and his supportive wife for constantly encouraging him to pursue his calling.

Tuinabunawa adds that meeting King Charles reflected the principle of service for King and country.

The Navy officer is also encouraging young people to always put God first in everything they do, saying this will guide them through life.
