People living in and around Anand Street were given an opportunity to raise questions or concerns about the proposed development as part of the EIA process.
Representatives from the Department of Environment, engineers, architects, construction representatives, relevant authorities and members of the public attended the consultation.
WesEng Consulting PTE Limited Principal EIA Consultant and Civil Engineer Andrew Singh says the consultation provided an opportunity to hear the views of people who could be affected by the development.
Singh says the EIA report is expected to be submitted to the Department of Environment within the next three to four weeks.
He says construction of the proposed development is expected to take about 15 months.
The proposed seven-level building will include car parking, office spaces, meeting facilities, a deck and lobby.
The development will also include new water and sewerage systems, stormwater drainage, driveways, fire hydrants and a new access road.
