Naivalurua : We all need to move to the front line and play our part in fighting drugs

Dealing with the drug situation in Fiji now needs everyone's efforts and we all need to move to the front line and play our part.

Those are the stern words of Minister for Policing and Communications, Ioane Naivalurua after the recent $3 billion cocaine in Vatia.

Naivalurua says the society needs to stand up to say that we do not want drugs in our country, report any concerning issues, and rally together as a family unit, community and as a country.

He stresses he wants to ensure that our homes are secure.

Naivalurua says resourcing and special capabilities are needed to address the current issues, and this will be done.

Speaking on his Communications portfolio, Naivalurua says digitalisation is an area that he is focusing on.

Naivalurua says people need to be served in the best manner, and the most effective way.

After his official visit to the CFL, he also wants to focus on what we can do beyond getting connected after we connect the unconnected communities.
