Police Commissioner, Sitiveni Qiliho will be returning to the country next week after graduating from the Royal College of Defence Studies in London.

He is the first ever Fijian and South Pacific islander who is a member of the Royal College of Defence Studies.

Speaking to LegendFM News from London, Qiliho says he acknowledges the UK Government for accepting him to its prestigious college and the Fijian Government for nominating him.

The Royal College of Defence Studies instructs the most promising senior officers of the British Armed Forces, Her Majesty's Diplomatic Service and Civil Service in national defence and international security matters at the highest level, to prepare them for the top posts in their respective services. It forms part of the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, and is its most senior and prestigious component.

In addition, there are many overseas attendees, from countries who are close allies of the United Kingdom.

Qiliho also did a Post Graduate Certificate with King’s College University, London in Security and Strategy for Global Leaders and awaiting the certificate.

He already has a Master Of Science degree from Madras University, India in Defence and Strategic Studies which he did whilst attending the Indian Defence Services Staff College in 2008.

Qiliho is returning to his role as Police Commissioner as Rusiate Tudravu was in the acting position while Qiliho went on study leave.

Qiliho is also the son of retired Anglican Church Bishop Apimeleki Qiliho. He says all these achievements are great blessings.
