Koro Sun Resort and Rainforest Spa in Savusavu.

Koro Sun Resort and Rainforest Spa in Savusavu has welcomed back majority of their staff and say they are fully booked until the end of next month.

General Manager Wayne Annan says the immediate surge of bookings will help but they are mindful that it will be a year of careful operational and financial management.

He says they are being moderate in their approach and have worked hard at getting the resort to the standard that meets the guest’s expectation.

The resort employed close to 80 people before COVID and Annan says the only staff who are not working at the moment are the ones who have been employed elsewhere.

He says workers and their working hours will be determined by need as they build the business back.

Annan adds people have to be mindful that although the growth in sales is significant, Fiji has just opened.

He adds we also have to be mindful that COVID will still impact the business in the coming months.

Annan says in the meantime the objective is to entice enough visitors to maintain their business and the consistent employment of the staff.
