Students in Taveuni have returned to school without further disruption after Taveuni Buses Limited resumed services across the island.
Permanent Secretary for Education, Navin Raj says student attendance reached 95 percent today.
He says the Year 5 and Year 7 Literacy and Numeracy Assessment also went ahead successfully, with 98 percent of students sitting the exams.
Students who missed yesterday's assessment will be able to sit it on the scheduled catch-up day.
Raj is encouraging all students to continue attending school as normal and says the Ministry will continue working closely with transport providers and relevant authorities to ensure students have reliable access to education.
He also thanked Taveuni Buses Limited, government agencies, temporary transport providers, school leaders, parents and community members who worked together to support students during the disruption.
