Members of the Suva Muslim Primary School and the wider community will have a chance to meet their favourite radio personalities and take advantage of free services provided as the school and the Communications Fiji Limited, the parent company of LegendFM, FM96, VITIFM, Navtarang, Radio Sargam and fijivillage, signed a Memorandum of Understanding ahead of the school’s 100th anniversary celebrations this week.
Suva Muslim Primary School Centennial Celebration Committee Chairman Mohammed Zeeyad Hussain says this is one of their biggest celebrations to give back to the community and provide services that people can benefit from, with service providers including the Fijian Elections Office, Land Transport Authority, UniFiji, Fiji National University and the Ministry of Health, which will be providing free screenings.
He says there will also be shopping booths and halal food stalls.
Hussain adds during the day, there will be activities by the students such as a horror house, movie mania, netball, futsal and volleyball.
He says the four-day carnival will also feature ambassadors, alumini, including kings and queens, who will advocate on various themes.
Hussain says preparations are going well and it is now time to execute the plans, urging people to come and support the celebration.
The celebration will be held at Suva Muslim Primary School from Wednesday to Saturday.
Navtarang and Radio Sargam Senior Content Director Satya Nand says the team is looking forward to working with the committee and giving back to the community.
