DR Congo have fought back to level their FIFA World Cup Group K match against Portugal 1-1 just before halftime.

Portugal took an early lead through Joao Neves, who found the back of the net in the 6th minute to give the European side a dream start.

However, DR Congo responded in first-half injury time when Yoane Wissa scored in the fifth minute of added time to bring the African nation back into the contest.

Portugal, led by captain Cristiano Ronaldo, are playing in their 10th FIFA World Cup and are chasing their first-ever World Cup title.

41-year-old Ronaldo is making history by appearing in a record sixth World Cup and has scored 937 career goals for club and country.

DR Congo, meanwhile, are making only their second World Cup appearance and their first since 1974 when they competed as Zaire.

Meanwhile in other matches, England faces Croatia at 8am, Ghana faces Panama at 11am while Uzbekistan takes on Colombia at 2pm.
