Kadavu claimed a 17-7 victory over Suva in a warm-up match as both teams continue preparations for the upcoming Skipper Cup competition.
The Kadavu side has been in camp throughout the off-season, with players training both in Suva and at the team's base in Namalata, Kadavu, as they gear up for their historic debut in Fiji's premier provincial rugby competition.
A major boost for Kadavu this season is the inclusion of former Fiji 7s and Super Rugby player John Stewart.
Stewart has been assisting the squad during their training sessions in Suva, bringing valuable experience and leadership to the team.
Having captained Suva on numerous occasions, Stewart has impressed with his composure, leadership, and maturity on the field.

Leading the side is captain Vaione Tegu, who played a key role in guiding Kadavu to the Vanua Trophy title last year.
Tegu has continued to work closely with the players as they prepare for the province's first-ever appearance in the Skipper Cup.
Current Fiji Airways Fiji 7s half back Terio Veilawa is also playing for his provincial side.
Kadavu will play Nadi in Kings Charles Park in Nadi in round one of the competition on the 1st of August.
