FIJI Water Flying Fijians Interim Head Coach Senirusi Seruvakula says the Pacific Nations Cup is important as it gives new players an opportunity to showcase their abilities on the field.
He says it is also a valuable opportunity for experienced players to put their hands up for selection for the upcoming November tour.

Meanwhile, the Flying Fijians lost 20-15 to Japan in the 2026 Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup final, with Japan scoring three tries to Fiji’s two.
Fiji conceded too many penalties against Japan in the final, giving the opportunity for the Brave Blossom to capitalised.
Looking ahead to Fiji’s November matches, the Flying Fijians will face France on the 8th, followed by Ireland on the 15th, before meeting Italy on the 22nd in their final match.
