Love Island USA is a reality dating competition series that follows a group of singles searching for love in a villa.

The show features challenges and twists and turns where viewers vote depending on the action in the villa.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Manoa Kamikamica while touring the sets says it is a crucial opportunity for the Fijian economy with the potential to contribute significantly to the economy.

Kamikamica says the industry is a promising sector which the government will continue to support.

The Chief Executive Office of Film Fiji, Ramiro Tenorio, says he was excited over Love Island USA choosing Fiji as a preferred location.

Tenorio says they have worked with the team for months and have shown that Fiji is becoming the reliable partner that big networks are looking for across the planet.

He says it shows a clear indication of Fiji’s potential in the audio-visual sector and with better focus we can compete as the best location for film and TV production in the world.
