The Crest Fiji Black team edged out Crest Fiji Blue 56-55 to win the 2026 Fiji Invitational Tournament at the Vodafone Arena tonight.
After 4 days of intense competition, it came down to the two local teams who powered through their oppositions to face off in the finals.
Crest Fiji Pearls Coach, Michelle Parsons will have her work cut out after the fierce competition showcased by the two teams this evening.
Parsons says she will select her squad for the World Cup Qualifiers in Tonga next month at the earliest by Saturday.
It was a seesaw battle as Fiji Blue led the first quarter 15-12, with Fiji Black powering back to claim the lead 27-25 at half-time.

Fiji Black kept the pressure on in the third quarter with the lead changing hands several times with the game having to be decided in the last quarter
In another game, Auckland Fiji defeated New South Wales Fiji 59-40 to claim third place.
