Nakasi market vendors to build temporary market after years of struggle

After three years of struggle to have a better place to sell their produce, 80 market vendors in Nakasi are happy after signing an agreement with the Nausori Town Council to build their temporary market beside the Nasinu Cemetery.

Assistant President of Sarava Market Vendors, Laisenia Ragolea, says their prayers were answered after years of being relocated and chased by authorities while selling their produce beside the road.

Ragolea says through the agreement, they are given a place for their temporary market, but they will build the market at their own cost.

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer for the Nasinu Town Council and Nausori Town Council Anurashika Bari says through the agreement with the market vendors, vendors are allowed to build a temporary market to help them sell their produce until the new market is constructed.
