Labasa storm into Fiji FACT semi-finals with 4-2 win over Rewa
Labasa has booked its place in the BiC Fiji FACT semi-finals after defeating Rewa 4-2 in a thrilling Pool A clash.

Labasa came out firing from the opening whistle and opened the scoring through a penalty from Lekima Gonerau.

Jovesa Uqe doubled the lead before Ashnil Raju scored twice to give the home side a commanding 4-2 advantage.

Rewa created several scoring opportunities but struggled to convert them.

Their hopes suffered a setback when Brazilian midfielder Lucas Santos missed a penalty, with the Labasa goalkeeper producing a brilliant save.

Rewa's first goal came through a Labasa own goal, while Semi Nabenu added a second for the Delta Tigers.

Backed by a passionate home crowd, Labasa held firm until the final whistle to secure the important victory.

Labasa coach Alvin Chand praised his players for their performance, saying he was proud of the team's effort and always believed they could get the job done.

He also credited the strong support from the home fans as a key factor in the win.

Alvin is urging Labasa supporters to remain patient and continue backing the team as they prepare for the semi-finals.

However, Labasa suffered a setback when Rex Naima received a red card for handling the ball inside the penalty area.

The coach says the team will return to camp and work on its strategies ahead of the semi-final stage.

Labasa and Navua have progressed from Pool A to the semi-finals.
