Kiran urges public not to share video showing a child being abused

Members of the public are being urged not to share a video circulating on social media showing a child being abused.


Minister for Children Sashi Kiran says the child seen in the video has been attended to by the Department of Children and has received medical attention and care.


Kiran says any form of violence against children is unacceptable.


She is also urging members of the public to report it if they know of a child who is vulnerable, in need of assistance or being abused.


Reports can be made through the toll-free number 1325.
