Police have raided a house in Rewa Street and seized 20 sachets of marijuana.

Commissioner, Sitiveni Qiliho has confirmed that a man from the Rewa Street house is in custody and will be produced in court.

Police officers cut open the padlock to get into the house to seize the drugs as they had a search warrant with them.

Many people living along Rewa Street had earlier raised serious concern about drugs being sold from the house at Rewa Street.

When questioned by Fijivillage, Deputy Commissioner, ACP Rusiate Tudravu confirmed that one of the places that they were targeting was the house at Rewa Street.

He also called on members of the public to assist them in combating the marijuana trade in Fiji.
