As the McDonald's Fiji Women's Drua take on the Reds in the Super W semi final on home soil, captain Bitila Tawake says seeing what the Reds are capable of has given them a clear picture of the challenge ahead.
Tawake says competition for places in the match-day squad lifted the intensity during training.
While speaking on fijivillage Her Story with Temalesi Vono, Tawake says the team is not dwelling on previous performances and is instead focused on improving and delivering when it matters most.
Tawake says the Drua Women are concentrating on themselves, identifying areas they can improve, and doing everything they can to secure a place in the Super W final.
The semi-final is expected to be a closely contested encounter, with both sides aiming to book a place in next week's grand final.
The Fiji Women's Drua will take on the Queensland Reds at Churchill Park in Lautoka at 1pm today.
In the second semi-final, the Western Force will face the NSW Waratahs at 6.05pm today.
