A Damaging Heavy Swell Alert remains in place for South West Viti Levu waters, Yasawa and Mamanuca waters, Kadavu passage, Koro Sea and Southern Lau waters.
The Nadi Weather Office says a high pressure system to the far southwest of Fiji is expected to generate and direct damaging heavy swells over Fiji waters from later today.
They say there will be damaging heavy southwesterly swells developing with heights of up to 4 metres over open waters and wave periods up to 16 seconds from later today.
