The events of September 11th changed the face of global security, and the world was never the same after 2001.
Minister for Defence Pio Tikoduadua highlighted this while speaking to the media after the 25th anniversary commemoration of 9/11 at the US Embassy.
Tikoduadua says the United States remains a strong partner of Fiji, with the two countries standing together during times of war and peace.
He says the partnership is built on shared democratic values and principles.
Tikoduadua says while it is important to remember the past, the focus should be on making the future better for the next generation.
The Defence Minister says the events of September 11th will always affect people in different ways.
