Government has called for support and understanding from the European Union (EU) and the countries of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP) for Fiji’s political situation, and the reforms and processes involved.
Foreign Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola made the comments while delivering his national statement to the Committee on Political Affairs at the 23rd Session of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly (JPA) in Denmark earlier this week.
Ratu Kubuabola told the assembly that Fiji’s journey to parliamentary elections is well on track and in line with the Government’s Roadmap for Democracy, and Sustainable Socio-Economic Development.
The Foreign minister has welcomed the proposed ACP-EU fact-finding mission that will visit Fiji in July.
