Suva Grammar School is still leading the boy’s division medal tally of the 2014 Coca Cola Games after grabbing two gold medals.
Queen Victoria School is in second place with 1 gold and 2 silver while Natabua High is in third place with 1 gold and 1 silver.
Ratu Kadavulevu School is in fourth place with 1 gold and 1 bronze.
Bua College and Levuka Public School are next with 1 gold each.
Defending champions in the boys division, Marist Brothers High School has 1 silver and 2 bronze so far.
After finishing second in last year's 1,500 metres intermediate boys final, Suva Grammar athlete, Farisiko Mualivu made amends this morning and won gold.
Mualivu had stiff competition against Natabua High School athlete Pegasus Woodley.
He said despite the injuries, he still managed to win today.
Grammar's second gold came from Inia Sili who won the senior boys 1,500 metres final.
In the 1,500 metres junior boys, Isikeli Waseaqali won gold for Bua College.
Waseaqali also broke the first games record.
He ran in a record time of 4 minutes 24.14 seconds beating the old record of 4 minutes 26.64 seconds set by Petero Werekoro last year.
Ratu Kadavulevu School's Mustafa Fall grabbed the first gold medal for RKS in the senior boys Shot Put event.
Cory Grenier of QVS took silver while Savenaca Totovosau of Marist settled for the bronze medal.
In the girls division, defending champions Jasper Williams High School is leading with 1 gold and 1 silver.
Xavier College, Saint Joseph's Secondary School and Bucalevu Secondary are tied in second place with 1 gold each.
Adi Cakobau School is in third place with two silver.
Mereseni Naidau of Jasper won the first gold of the day in the girls 1,500 metres.
Xavier's Sereseini Vesoka won gold in the senior girl's long jump event.
The 200 metres heats are currently underway.
The 4x400 metres relay heats begin at about 2.25pm today.
