Tropical Cyclone Lin moves further away from the Fiji group however a gale warning remains in force for the Lau group.
Lin is currently moving South East at 30km per hour and is expected to lie about 360 km to the East of Lakeba at around 6pm and or about 420km East of Kabara at midnight tonight.
Director Nadi Weather Office Rajendra Prasad said damaging gale force winds over the Lau group is expected to decrease from later this evening.
According to Prasad, the warning may be cancelled in the next bulletin.
For the rest of Fiji waters, a strong wind warning remains in force.
High seas and heavy South East swells expected.
Meanwhile, earlier today Vanuabalavu, Mavana resident, Anaseini Qoro confirmed some trees have been uprooted and rooftops blown away by strong winds.
