Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama has sent his good wishes to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of her diamond jubilee.
Commodore Bainimarama said on behalf of all Fijians in paying tribute on your diamond jubilee celebrations a momentous occasion not only celebrated in the United Kingdom but around the Commonwealth.
According to Bainimarama while the historical links of our two countries pre-date Fiji’s independence, Fijians continue to demonstrate a high regard for the United Kingdom and have deep affection and respect for the British Royal family.
He also wished the Duke of Edinburgh a speedy recovery from his ill health.
