Part of Tapoo City building to open today
The 1st 3 floors of new Tappoo City building in Suva are expected to be open for business today.

These three floors will house the Tappoos flagship new department store of international standard and CEO Madhu Tappoo said the shoppers will feel as they are in a large department store in Australia or Europe.

According to Tappoo the Tappoo City is a $50 million project.

The 4th floor which comprises a modern and unique food court and specialist stores, including an up market pharmacy, is expected to be opened for business within the first quarter of next year.

The 2 top floors are reserved for large offices and we expect this to be available for letting soon after the food court level opening.

The entire building is centrally air-conditioned, has backup power generators, water tanks and all modern service amenities.

The retail and food court levels have glass lifts and escalators.

There is ample parking for shoppers. The office floors have separate dedicated lifts from the market end of the building.

Over 200 jobs are expected to be created after the opening of the stores.

Tappoo City is a joint venture between Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) and Tappoo Group.

Tappoo is both the anchor and the head lease of the entire building.
