3 accused found guilty of murder

The 3 assessors and the High Court judge in the murder trial of Salesh Prakash of Nadawa found the three accused guilty of murder.

The assessors gave their verdict this afternoon after which the High Court Judge, Justice Salesi Temo delivered his guilty verdict.

Bharat Lal, Jayant Lal and Moreen Lata are charged with the murder of Salesh Prakash.

They murdered Prakash between the 20th and 21st June, 2009 in Nausori.
 
After mitigation from the defence lawyers next Monday, Justice Temo will decide on a date for sentencing.

The three have been remanded in custody.
