Public urged to make a stand

The public is being urged to make a stand and speak up if they have been victims of corruption or white collar crime.

This is the call from the Fiji Independent Commission against Corruption as International Anti-Corruption day is being observed today at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Today also marks the day when countries signed the UN’s Convention against Corruption document.

Fiji is only one of three countries in the South Pacific to have ratified the Convention.

The Official opening of the event was done this morning by the Divisional Commissioner Western, Commander Joeli Cawaki with this year’s theme being Act Against Corruption Today.
